You’ll be exposed to practices such as deep listening, the ladder of inference, and testing significant assumptions. Level 2 Workshops

Overview: This workshop is designed to equip you with practical strategies and tools to foster self-directed learning skills in your students. You will engage in interactive activities, discussions, and reflection exercises to empower you to implement effective self-directed learning practices in your classrooms.

Overview: This workshop is dynamic and informative on the seven learning environments, designed to help educators improve their teaching practice. In this workshop, you will explore the fundamental principles of active and digital learning to engage students. Educators can make learning inclusive and provide an equitable learning environment. We will also delve into high expectations and measurement of student success.

Overview: The Differentiation, Individualisation, and Personalisation Workshop provide teachers with the knowledge to effectively differentiate their instruction to meet the diverse needs of their students. During the workshop, teachers will learn about the three approaches to adapting instruction: differentiation, individualisation, and personalisation. They will explore the differences between these approaches and how they can be implemented in the classroom. At the end of the workshop, teachers will have a toolkit of strategies and resources that they can use to differentiate, individualise, and personalise instruction for their students.

Level 3 Workshops

Duration: 4 hours
Overview: Embark on a journey to develop innovative leadership skills essential for navigating the complexities of education in the21st century. This workshop explores visionary leadership practices, creative problem-solving techniques, and effective communication strategies to inspire positive change and progress.

Duration: 6 hours
Overview: Enhance the integration of technology tools and digital resources to create dynamic and interactive learning experiences for students. Participants will discover innovative ways to leverage technology for personalised learning, collaborative project and enhanced student engagement.

Duration: 6 hours
Overview: The Curriculum Design Workshop allows educators to learn and apply theories, practices and strategies for developing effective curricula and instruction in their classrooms. This workshop provides practical information and hands-on experiences that enhance teachers’ knowledge in developing, implementing, managing and assessing curricula. At the end of the workshop, participants will have gained a deeper understanding of how to design an effective curriculum that meets the needs of their students and aligns with academic standards.

Overview: Sharing experiences is crucial for professional growth. Therefore, our passionate Choice School teachers aim to share their experience and knowledge with colleagues through these sessions. We believe the professional learning community is a valuable and rich resource for our teachers.

CBSE professional development sessions are designed to help educators and teachers improve their skills, knowledge, and teaching methods. The sessions cover various topics such as curriculum development, assessment techniques, classroom management, teaching strategies, etc. These sessions are conducted by experienced professionals and educational experts who provide practical guidance and insights to educators on how to improve their teaching skills and enhance the learning outcomes of their students. These sessions aim to keep educators updated with the latest developments in education and help them stay motivated and engaged in their profession.

Workshop Level: 1-3
Duration: Depending on the workshop
Overview: Our school’s in-service training offers PYP/MYP/DP workshops to provide our educators with the necessary skills and knowledge to implement the IB programs. The workshops will begin with orientation sessions introducing the trainees to the IB framework and philosophy. We will then focus on taking the trainees through the candidacy and authorisation phases, ensuring they understand the requirements. By the end of the training, the participants will possess the required knowledge to teach the IB programs successfully. We encourage our teachers to upskill by attending these courses at CATD. Those who choose to attend these courses will receive priority for teaching in the IB curriculum for the next academic year, and they will strengthen their ability to deliver quality education to our students.
